Industrial Guild

 

Industrial guilds are organizations dedicated to exploration, expansion and the development and control of natural resources. Industrial guilds undertake enormous risks to explore uncharted regions in search of pristine forests, rare or precious metals. When they find precious resources, their efforts focus on negotiating land rights acknowledgements from states that ostensibly lay claim to these uncharted regions. After securing these rights an industrial guild will begin developing and area in order to extract the precious resources, often leading to large scale infrastructure development and the emergence of labour camps that may expand over time to become new villages and towns. Industrial guilds sometimes fall into conflict with ranger orders who seek to patrol and protect the same lands an industrial guild seeks to exploit and develop.
