Magical University

 

A Magical University is an educational institution similar to an Academy, but focused on teaching the magical arts. As a general rule, smaller Magical Universities teach only one or two of the nine Magical Colleges specialized under a single field of Mysticism. Larger and more prestigious Magical Universities may offer instruction in several Magical Colleges. Magical Universities are extremely competitive with on another, constantly seeking to attract the most powerful and renown mages in hopes of expanding not only their wealth and influence, but also their access to real magical power. This competition can be extremely political, and a small shift in the leadership of a major Magical University can affect the global balance of power for generations.
